JAMHI Family, an expansion of JAMHI Health and Wellness, offers a continuum of behavioral health services dedicated to serving the needs of children, adolescents, and families. JAMHI Family has a dedicated staff of trained professionals who are compassionate and committed to supporting children and families throughout Juneau and outlying communities. All services are strengths-based and client-centered, supporting individuals and families as they create healthy changes and work towards living their own best lives. At this time, services at JAMHI Family include: Comprehensive integrated behavioral health assessments, psychiatric services with medication management, limited psychological testing, counseling, skill development, treatment planning/coordination, and case management services for children, adolescents, and families with social, emotional, and behavioral issues. Looking ahead, we plan to further expand our variety of services to include, but not limited to: parenting classes, social skills groups, home-based services, and adolescent skill groups.
The JAMHI Family program is in the process of adopting an evidence-informed model of treatment called Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) as an organizational framework to support trauma-informed care. The ARC model is an individually-centered, family-focused, strength-based and culturally competent program designed to treat complex childhood trauma while fostering resilience within the child and their caregiver. ARC targets and treats important childhood and youth skills and competencies which are shown to be negatively affected by traumatic stress and attachment disruptions.
JAMHI Family is open and located on 8251 B Glacier Hwy. (near Fred Meyer) next to American Title Company.
