Robert W. Haight, M.D. Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Haight was born and raised in Juneau and has lived here most of his life. He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1986, the University of New Mexico in 1990 (Biology major, History minor), and the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1995. Upon completing his residency in Family Medicine at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1998, Dr. Haight was staff physician, then medical director, at Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital in Barrow, Alaska. He returned to Juneau in 2000, practicing urgent and primary care for 10 years, solo family medicine for 8 years, and moonlighting as the medical director of Capital City Fire and Rescue for 6 years before joining the JAMHI family in February 2019. Dr. Haight and his wife Victoria have two daughters, Sammy and Ruchi. In addition to primary care medicine, Dr. Haight is interested in local history and exploring the Juneau area by foot and boat.
