Becky is a clinician at Salmon Creek Clinic and is one of the facilitators of the intensive outpatient program (IOP). She attended Iowa State University as an undergraduate and then graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s in social work with an emphasis in human development and change. Over the years Becky has worked in a variety of settings including family service agencies, hospitals, prisons and universities. She is interested in attachment theory, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and believes that they work well together as a treatment modality. She likes to remind clients that there is always hope in healing and that small things often do add up to make a big difference, even when there is tremendous pain and trauma in one’s past.


Becky was born and raised in Iowa and has also lived in Minnesota and Arizona before moving to Juneau in 1993. According to Becky, it is the beauty of the landscape that drew her here and keeps her here today. Becky likes to spend her free time outdoors skiing, hiking, beachcombing, fishing and boating
