Emory is the Director of Behavioral Health at Salmon Creek Clinic and holds both a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a doctorate degree in business administration. He is currently a Florida licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and was previously an Alaska licensed professional counselor (LPC) from 2009 to 2013. He started his career briefly in private practice then moved on to hospital administration. Before coming to JAMHI he worked as a CEO for a behavioral health organization for two decades and then as a consultant.

He was born and raised in Lakeland Florida where he has spent most of his life. Emory has also lived in Oklahoma, Virginia, and North Carolina.  He first came to Alaska about ten years ago to work on a project in interior Alaska. During this time, he also visited Southeast Alaska and it became his favorite region. After an exploratory trip to Juneau he decided to stay and work for JAMHI. In his free time Emory enjoys music and sports.
