Lorretta Harris, CCMA

Medical Assistant

Education: University of Southeast Alaska - Certified Nursing Assistant Alaska Primary Care Association Apprenticeship Program - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Born and raised in Juneau, Lorretta has always wanted to help the people of her hometown.   After getting trained as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) she worked at the Pioneer Home (assisted living) in Juneau.

Knowing that healthcare was a great fit for her, she applied to JAMHI's primary care clinic and began her work as a Medical Assistant.  In 2022 she went through the Alaska Primary Care Association's Apprenticeship program and in 2023 was designated as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

As a medical assistant she supports clients receiving integrated care at JAMHI and helps support our staff who prescribe medications.

Outside of work, Lorretta loves to spend time with her friends and family; going to the beach, camping, fishing, going for a drive, or just sitting around a fire.  When the weather isn't cooperating she enjoys playing games and watching movies with her kids.
