Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Will Jemison joins JAMHI with over 18 years of experience in leading community-based health and academic medicine organizations. Relocating to Juneau from the Southern US, Will is passionate about engaging communities, learning local culture, providing exceptional care, and helping people live their best lives!

Will holds extensive experience in organizational effectiveness in healthcare, government, and nonprofit sectors, with an emphasis in engaging underserved and marginalized communities. Jemison also holds additional experience in national project consulting for the National Institutes of Health and to three Secretaries of the US Army. Having extensively traveled the world, Will serves as representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, where he’s worked to draw attention and resources to health, educational, and economic issues impacting the most vulnerable populations globally.

Will has earned the Doctor of Healthcare Administration and an MBA with certifications in project management and nonprofit governance. His memberships include American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association of Health Services Executives, and Knights of Columbus.

In his spare time, Will enjoys weight training, rafting, and cheering on the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints!
