Connected Care. Complete Health.

Juneau Alcohol Safety Action Program (JASAP)

JASAP (Juneau Alcohol Safety Action Program) is part of Alaska’s statewide Alcohol Safety Action Program. JASAP serves as the neutral link between the court system, the treatment community, and individuals completing their required steps.
Through JASAP at JAMHI Health & Wellness, individuals with DUI and other alcohol or drug-related misdemeanor cases receive structured case management, accountability, and guidance through required treatment and court steps.

What We Do

The core function of JASAP is to provide case management and accountability for individuals with DUI and other alcohol or drug-related misdemeanor cases. JAMHI helps track what needs to be completed and supports clients as they move through their required steps.

Court System

We receive court documents that order individuals to JASAP and open a case for each court order.

Case Management

We assign clients to treatment providers, monitor progress, and document compliance.

Reporting

We provide reports to the court indicating whether a client is in compliance, noncompliance, or has completed recommended treatment.

How To Get Started

1. Court Document Required

To open your case, we must have a copy of your court document ordering you to JASAP. This may be a Judgement, a Temporary Order, an SEJ, etc.

2. Intake & Orientation

You will need to fill out an Intake Packet and attend an Online Orientation. Further details are included in the Orientation.

3. Appointment with Program Coordinator

Once documents and the intake packet are received, a brief 15–20-minute appointment with the JASAP Program Coordinator is scheduled. For those out of the area, a telephonic interview is arranged.

Intake Packet with instructions and Online Orientation instructions are available online and at JAMHI’s Salmon Creek location Reception Desk.

Case Management Fees: In accordance with AS AAC 80.210 and 220 a Case Management fee is charged for every court case opened. For adult misdemeanor cases $200 is charged for each case; $100 for minors. Additionally, a $100 is charged for every post-affidavit reassignment. When a client reopens a case as a self-referral for DMV purposes, a $100 re-open fee is charged. This fee is collected prior to reopening the case. ALL previous fees remain and must be paid prior to DMV sign-off.
