
Supanika Ordoñez
Director
Supanika Ordonez is Thai and Guatemalan-American who grew up internationally as the daughter of a diplomat. She has her bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She fell in love with Alaska when coming up to work for her uncle during college and has lived in Sitka, Haines, and Fort Yukon before settling in Juneau.
She has been working in the field of Early Childhood since 2005, working with low-income children and families. For the last 8 years, she has worked at the State of Alaska with Head Start programs where building infant early childhood mental health supports has been a large part of her work.
Supanika lives with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and continues to advocate for survivors. She also serves on the boards for AWARE and the Juneau League of Women Voters. She lives in twin lakes with her husband, her two kids, and two kitty cats. She enjoys cooking and eating international cuisine.
